Here's wishing the best of the holiday season to all! Attached is the picture for this year's Christmas card, with text added for the enjoyment of our AK friends.

Thanks Indian Head! I have printed the pic and will display it on top of my CTC-4 "Seville" on Christmas day to family and friends. The 4 will be used to play a couple of shows, and I know I will get one or two "Why Do You Want That Old Thing" questions. Old color sets are a passion that is not easily understood by most folks. Their loss.
Merry Christmas and Happy new year!
Kevin

Glad you like it, Kevin! Never thought of using it that way! :thmbsp:

We shot it just last Sunday, inspired by the style of the original ads (in order to feature our CTC-5) but also had to include our guinea pig, Buddy, watching himself on the set.

What programming are you planning to run on your 4? We're always on the lookout for vintage color shows--especially Christmas specials.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

Vintage Color Shows

There are vintage color TV show out takes on YouTube including some Perry Como and Andy Williams and Hollywood Palace. Some are from color tapes unfortunately from VHS rather than DVD's so quality not that great on some; a lot are b&w kinescopes but at least they survive from the good old days of TV variety shows and there are at least some videos to view even if just on the PC or laptop. I don't know exactly how far back NBC saved color video tapes of Andy Williams or Perry Como shows; Como shows of course were live until probably 1959 or 1960; they may have been recorded on color tape off air but if they were saved at all that's a mystery I think.

Great work!

But I can't see where the puppy comes out of the TV? :D

An instant classic!

Thanks John (and Hillary with Buddy)
