Identify a vintage German Radio..

I picked this beauty up today at the thrift. Looks like Grundig or Telefunken. The only mark, "QUELLE" (means 'source' in German) is found printed on the back. See pics. The wood case is beautiful! It works and has a cool tuning eye.

Anyone know anything about it? I can't find any reference to Quelle.

Thanks!

That radio is in nice shape but I don't think it was made by Telefunken or Grundig.

Quelle is a major mail order store. In very small towns they will have a tiney store front like a very very small sears annex. May be a Phillips?

I'm gusssing this radio was made between 1935 and 1960. The style kind of points to the 1950s era. I don't believe it is Telefunken or Grundig, just that it is similar to others i've seen. As you say perhaps Quelle is a private retailer label and who knows the OEM? Perhaps German or European.

It sure is a nice-looking radio.

Notice the guts photo. The fuseholder on the top right side is broken and the fuse is held in place by that green tape.... Not the best connection in the world. I'm going to wire in a new fuseholder.

Quelle was and is a Distributor. Its a House-Brand of Quelle.
Quelle is NOT ONLY a mail-order store. Quelle bought also in East Germany...

ha, as i guessed, its probably originally an eastgerman RFT Saalburg that was sold by Quelle in a modified version in W-Germany

check out this and compare:
