My surprise Christmas Gift...
 

Hi All,

An old very good friend of mine, that I haven't seen more than 3 or 4 times in the past 25 years, came out to my home this Sunday past, and much to my surprise, brought an old companion of mine with him.

Actually he brought 2...I'd pretty much forgotten about them, having moved out from my parents house on bad terms the year I graduated High school ('76).

An old 6L6 mono amp that I used as a kid, and the Silvertone Model 1, that I had in my room, growing up. The TT that I used with the amp is long gone.

He recapped the #1 and it works well!

It is next to me on my desk as I type.

Tough to beat old friends,,My best friend since grammer school used to own a 1955 oldsmobile 98 convertable ,m I was able to find an original owners manual and gave it to him as a Christmas present

That is a cool radio...hope they sing long!!
