Convergence issues

Hey all,

I have been batteling this Magnavox beast for a while now with convergence issues. I can get the crt to almost great, but then the top 2" of the screen the red horiz is way off, the pot is adjusted all the way to one side and seems that if it could go more, then the convergence would be perfect. I have gone over the sams again and again on proper convergence. Nothing seems to help, could the yoke be at fault? I tried another convergence board and it didnt help at all. It uses a 25GP22 CRT and I happen to have a yoke from a 23EGP22 CRT that would work, I think.
Thanks!

How about vertical linearity/centering adjustments? Sometimes these can affect convergence... Is the convergence yoke in its best position on the CRT neck?

Yes, If I pull the yoke back it gets worse, If I slide it foward any further, it looks all out of whack and red turns purple and I cannot correct it with the purity rings. Convergence is still bad forward as well.

Hey guys, yes It was the yoke, I slid on the yoke from my old 23EGP22. Convergence is absoluty perfect now, and the vertical pincushion is perfect too.
