ctc 15 issues
 
well the roundie just developed another problem. weaving,vertical roll.no hum,just a short,disproportionate vertical with a weave. cans feel room temperature to touch and the service switch will not totally collapse into a line. any help? thanks
in this forum are the greatest techs on the planet!

Does the "weaving" mean that long vertical lines on the screen have one or two bumps that slowly move up or down the line? That is a symptom of bad filter caps, so it is probably time to replace all the old electrolytics. Bad electrolytics can also cause the vertical sync problem. I am not sure about the service-switch issue, but it could be that a local vertical-rate signal is getting into the vertical amps past the service switch and causing a small amount of deflection. That "local vertical-rate signal" would, again, be caused by a bad electrolytic filter cap.
