Airline in Michigan

I put a couple of earlybird bids on it. We'll see how it goes in 6 days. It's in driving range if the price is right. Gas being what it is. It's definitely in my "wish list". Just want y'all to know I'm on it.

That's just like the one i've been redoing the dial glass on, that one looks sweet!

I got mine on a BIN deal, I'll have to watch this one to see if I was stupid or not.

It's not mine yet. The 50 I put on it is already outbid. I just put it there to keep it in my "Items I'm bidding on" section. I will bid once or twice near the end of the auction what it's worth to me. I guess it's sort of good practice here to let the group know when an AKer is bidding on something. Keeps us from clobbering each other. But if it's important to you, feel free to bid. If I can't afford it I won't get it. If I can, I will.

Doesn't help that he's willing to ship it now. Best deals are local sets that the seller won't ship. Now that it's national, it's a bigger audience. Might get pricey now... :thumbsdn:

OK, I'm out. $300 was my max. There's still an hour and a half to bid, if anybody was giving me consideration as the AK bidder, feel free to bid.

Even after bowing out gracefully at $300 I bid $401. What can I say, I'm weak. Didn't matter, it turns out. Final price was $637.56...

Eric, looks like you were pretty smart.... :thmbsp:

Well, we know Eric is feeling better now :) Still, i didnt expect this one to go for that much. But...you rarely see this model and in presentable condition to boot, so i guess that explains the price.

Very interesting TV. Unfortunately, the set will not make it if its shipped UPS. Double box or not, the shock of the TV being dropped will break the dial glass and the cabinet will probably split apart at the joints. Its happend to me too many times and I dont take those risks anymore. I really hope its picked up in person to whoever bought it.

I agree. I bid because I could go get it. If it ships, someone probably has just purchased a big box of splinters and shrapnel.

Sour grapes maybe...

I wouldn't let UPS ship that across the street, unless it was in the middle of a box of bubble wrap that was about the size of a UPS truck....

Wow,
I guess I did get a deal on mine, the finish isn't as nice as this one but I got a back with mine.
