Pilot TV cabinet finish

I saw a Pilot TV-37 the other day that had a woodgrain finish on the cabinet. All of these sets that I've seen till now, including mine, had been finished in brown paint.

The set I saw sure looked like it was sporting the original factory finish. It was not a rich, heavy woodgrain finish like the one in this earlier post. But they both remind me of the photo finish you see on many thirties-vintage Philco radios.

I wonder if woodgrain is an original finish on a Pilot TV and if so, how many sets had it?

I posed that same question on one I saw on eBay earlier this summer. That was the only one I'd ever seen. I've also seen a blond CT-100, which was a factory special order. So I guess anything is possible!
