This can't be very common!

Thanks Charlie, hadn't seen that yet. AFAIK that's most likely for the mid 70's and up GR-2000 family sets. I have a 2050 set with remote........but of course you'd have to have the internal receiver for the set for this to work.

IIRC these are entirely electronic but don't remember if they're RF or IR in nature. It is NOT an Ultrasonic clicker (tuning fork "click/clunk")

Pretty rare no matter how you slice it!

Actually I believe they were ultrasonic using a transducer instead of a mechanical rod. The remote (transmitter and receiver) is one of the items I kept from my 1970 GR-295 when I got rid of it in the mid '80s. The flyback was shot as was the crt.

Yup, Ultrasonic but electronic. Seems most of the Heath sets used RCA picture tubes....at least until Zenith bought them and then substituted kit versions of their regular production sets. These later sets weren't much of a kit, shake the box and it's done.

What does "MO-PC" mean on that remote? It's the switch on the lower left hand side. I'm sure it's not to turn on the PC, they were aren't till 10 years late.:D
