hard to say without it being on and flipping the switch on the back. Would hate to try and find one of those fluorescent tubes. Probably have to have one custom made at this point.

Exactly. Otherwise, this is just another dumpy late 1950s/early 60s B/W set. A GOOD example, apparently, but still...

How many years did they make the Halolight? I thought they were a one off on the 50's. this looks like a 60's set.

I have one from about '53 and another about the age of this one, maybe '59-60? I think these later ones were among the first to use 110 degree crts, which I think Sylvania pioneered. Might have continued halolights into the early 60s? Both of my lights work but I've never tackled getting either set to play.

Hmm. Disagree. I think that's one fine looking set that would look great in my living room. Too bad New York is such a long drive from here...

I have a very nice '54 Halo Light in a beautiful lacquered cabinet, come get it out of my way!! if not, you'll be seeing it on the bay soon. As for the one here, I say it's a '60 judging by the design and the tube.
