15 interesting sets

These look interesting and not too far from me. Wish I had room.

A couple of those are really interesting, like the Garod and whatever that first one is (I thought it was the Garod but the seller says it has no name?)
There's also a blond Magnavox that you don't see every day.

I think those three are probably worth the opening bid.

Yes the Garod is a cool set. Not commonly seen. Worth bidding on this lot just for that one. Too far from me though.

Wow....

jeyurkon 11-26-2008 07:55 PM

Maybe I'll make a minimal bid just so they don't end up as litter boxes, aquariums, or whatnot. My car would have to sit outside until I found a home for them. I think my neighbor would loan me his company van to pick them up.

We'll see where the bidding stands in a few days first.

Hopefully Steve M. or a serious collector will outbid me, or bid first.

I'm seriously considering bidding also. I'm due for a road trip, about 4 hours from me so not too far. As long as the $$$ don't go too high. We'll see.

As long as you're planning on bidding, I'll refrain. Let me know if you change your mind.

Wow! Instant vintage TV collection. Looks like TONS of fun. Nice mix of roundies and earlier rectangulars....

Ok, sounds good, as of now i'm planning on bidding. I will probably wait until later in the auction though.

cdmarion 12-02-2008 05:23 PM

Hey John,

I just checked the auction and while there are no bids it looks like there is alot of interest.

I'm going to back out now, I think it may go higher than i'm willing to bid(which is not much more than starting bid). So if your still interested go for it.

On the other hand, there may be no bids do to the buyer takes all rule. There seems to be alot of interest in buying single sets.

Good Luck.

jeyurkon 12-02-2008 10:19 PM

Yow! I just don't want to see the sets trashed. It sounds like that probably won't happen with 72 people having some level of interest.

It also looks like they're all hoping no one bids so he'll break the lot up. I would guess that if anyone makes a bid it'll quickly escalate.

I can't decide what to do. I guess I'll call my neighbor at work tomorrow and at least see if he'd make his truck available. If he can't, that'll decide it for me.

Why not just throw in a bid? The watchers could just be 72 tire-kickers, for all you know.

I see someone bid, John is that you?

jeyurkon 12-03-2008 10:28 AM

Yes, but I'm really hoping someone else bids too.
