Kewl ! Wish it was in English...

Damn, didn't even know we ever had our own TV brand, let alone that they did the world's first color, multi-color system tv, that was using IC's in 1957... and in Bruges no less.

Seems like they pioneered quite some stuff, at least that's what they say in the video :)

Cool video. Wish we had some video from the American manufactures (when there were some). The multi-color system tv in this video was a 1967 model 1957 would have been to early.

I never heard of this brand, but Belgium has a wellknown brand: BARCO,
Barco was established in Poperinge since 1934.

Oops typo there, 1967 it was indeed.

And yes Barco also used to make tv's, totally forgot about that one. Actually used to have a B&W one, took a couple of minutes to warm up, quite the anticipation when you're a kid ;D

The TVs in the video look so vintage, but the music on the soundtrack is contemporary.

Oh wait, that music came out 36 years ago. And I'm not eighteen any more either. Drat!

Thanks for the link to this great documentary. I may not know what the dude was saying but like they say a picture is a 1000 words so it was easy for me to get the drift of the process of manufacturing colour TVs, very cool seeing how it is done. When I saw the ladies manually insert the components I initially thought they had to also painstakingly solder the joints with a soldering iron but then seeing the automated molten soldering convoy, it makes the job easy done.
