Source For Speakers?

Hi everyone,

I have two sets that are in need of the same speaker, a 5-inch 3.2ohm PM. I have one that's crumbling and one with a frozen voice coil. I need to find out where I can order these from. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Ryan

Try www.radiodaze.com

If you measured a 3.2 ohm resistance with a DMM, I assume that's a nominal 4 ohm speaker. An 8 ohm will probably work just fine, and might be easier to find.

Doesn't Antique Electronic Supply in Tempe AZ carry speakers?

Yeah, but 99% of what they have are for guitar amps, etc. They might have one or two others in their "misc." category.

Their addy is www.tubesandmore.com

Thanks guys - I found what I needed at oldradioparts.com. (Don't know why I didn't think to check there)

The Arvin 451TL I posted earlier needs one of these - that one is very brittle. The other set is a Hallicrafters S-38D. I brought it back to life last night, but the volume was very low. After checking voltages & subbing tubes I noticed the speaker cone wasn't vibrating at all. This set (like the Arvin) sat in a damp garage for many years, so I figure the voice coil rusted. I'll post some pics once I get it cleaned up.
