Found these 2
Been yard sale shopping lately, and picked up these 2 items.
They appear to be in very rough shape, heck, even one of them appears to be painted. And im no cabinet worker by any means, so i dont even know if i can tackle these things. Plus, i know they are cathedrals, but dont know what they are, or know anything about them. Care to share details? the originality of them, and the rarity of them? thanks. At least one is model 37-84 - the other might be the similar model 84 or another of the same. I can tell by the (metal) octal tube in one - octal tubes hadn't been introduced in '34 when the model 84 came out. You can find Philco service bulletins for both on my Philco page: http://www.audiophool.cjb.net/Philco.html

Thanks for the peek inside. Have you tried firing them up? It looks like you have some work ahead of you.
|
No, I havent tried firing them up for obvious reasons. on the pictures, it was easy for me to throw them up on 0ki real quick and post them here in a url. i didnt want to resize them and go through all that stuff when it was just real simple for me to put them up there like that. sorry, im lazy. hehe. Yea, i didnt think about dialup, but i never think about dialup anymore becuase ive gotten used to this 10 meg connection.

Na, they have bbcode image resizeing disabled. would be a nice feature if they would actually enable it.
|
The one on the left is an early version (1934) of the model 84-B.

Need to find used/repro dial plates as they are painted over/destroyed.
