Some more table radios in my collection
A few more radios.
http://mp3.afz.biz/~hemingray/akpics/SANY0185.jpg Top Radio: GE AA5 Dual speaker radio Middle: RCA Victor AM/FM radio. (Sticker on front reads "Works Fine", although it needed a new filter capacitor and the dial string rewound) Bottom: Zenith AM/FM Radio (sold with no sound, was only a partially disconnected speaker) http://mp3.afz.biz/~hemingray/akpics/SANY0184.jpg A small Zenith AA5 table radio, still needs a bit of cosmetic work. |
Oh, yeah, to the troglodytes who run "Antique Shoppes" they ALWAYS "Work Fine"...About 1 in 5 or 6 actually do....Nice little collection.
The Zenith actually did work fine, after I reattached the speaker to the output transformer.
I like that RCA. I dont think I have seen one like it.
"Works fine" usually means that the pilot light lights up. Not that it would actually operate as it did when it first left the factory...
I love the zenith aa5 model.................is that the one thats nicknamed the "mae west" ? ( for obvious reasons!)..ianj
Not too sure.
On the RCA, the 19X8 socket needs a bit of cleaning, the tube doesn't always seem to make contact. |
