Well It's been a while since I've had any Vintage TV projects to work on. This 1957 RCA Just arived this afternoon. It needs work, It has great audio and decent brightness on the CRT but no images and a triple fold over effect as you can see in the photos. I just looked under the chassis and see badly badly corroded lugs under one of the lytic cans. Of course it's the can with the missing label, Peeled off at some point. The other can is printed for values but this one is not. Anyone have a schematic or parts list they could email for this set? It's in Sams 346-11. I hope to work on it more this week and will post progress as I go along. I recently made a youtube video of my 1959 RCA Space Command 400, Here's the link:

Made some progress on The RCA Last night. Changed out both Electrolytic
cans and all caps on the oscillator board. I have picture and sound now.
Too much noise in the picture and not as clear and sharp as it should be.
The horizontal goes out of sync. Horizontal hold and Vertical hold are both jittery. Still needs more work but I'll need to order more caps before I can continue. The picture on the set is still grainy, The photo just makes it look clear.

Strange, the rest of us who take screen caps have just the opposite! :D

I took another screen shot with different camera settings. this is a more accurate view showing the image on the CRT is grainy.

Even with it still needing some tweaks...you have it producing a nice picture already. It can only get better from here. I have the same set but without the legs. Mine has the solid base. Its another of my to do jobs. Nice job so far Jim! Keep us posted on your progress.

Finished Changing all the paper caps on the set except for one .001/1600Volt I didn't have. Working great now just need to fine tune a bit. Here's a youtube video I made of the TV in operation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIGhkqkcpsU
