Like most of my thoughts. ;)

I have been admiring the pictures of the old Admiral sets here and noticed something interesting. TVs did not always have crappy little speakers in them. These guys must have 10 and 12 inchers like the early radios had.

Here is the weird thought. They were home theater ready decades ago. Wouldn't those big speakers right under the picture tube like that make for a great center channel? Hmm... B&W home theater... interesting. Or I suppose one could take a basket case un-restorable unit and put a color flat screen in place of the original video unit.

No I haven't been getting into the percocet it just sounds that way. :D

They could have used bigger speakers, but they didn't :( I'll cut them some slack for the set on the right since it has the power supply & audio amp down there. Lots of wasted space on the left side set.

Another one of my sets has some shelves the previous owner installed down there for storage :)

You're right about old console radios having nice speaks though. That one in the background is from 1932!
