Dumont Color Casts

Hi Everyone newbie here but long time color enthusiast.

Several early articles were posted mentioning the networks colorcasting plans for the 54-55 season and it was mentioned that Dumont was planning to colorcast.

Can anyone recall if they actually got around to colorcasting any shows other than an experimental color test pattern?

Thanks

George

George,

I have done some research on this and have, to date, found no evidence that DuMont ever broadcast any programs in color apart from the color test pattern transmissions you mentioned. The DuMont network always suffered financial problems and color equipped studios were not in the budget.

Steve:

Thanks for the response. You confirmed what I always assumed.
