Zenith 9S262 pictures and shipping box
I started the restore before I got pictures. I'll recap it and it looks to have a toasted dogbone resistor. All the tubes are good. Just hums now but that's a good sign. No need to refinish just some Goop hand cleaner and 0000 steel wool to clean then some Liquid Gold to get some oils back into it and a wax and I'll call it good, oh and some new grill cloth.

What a great find! You know, there are probably people who would just about expire to have that shipping box, the rarity of which has to be extreme.

Nice set, and the box is a real unique bonus!

Beautiful find that Zenith 9-S-262, and the box. I had to let a 12-S-267 slip through this week because I just didn't quite have enough. Dreadful to miss that opportunity.:sigh:

There is a difference between the 2. One has the square pattern grill cloth you see in the original post the other has the wavy leaf pattern. Both original and from what I gather both where used. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/pic...pictureid=2486 |
