CTC-11 remote set in california

A little far for me and no room.

Someone really needs to go after this one. An 11 makes a good picture, but to even have the UHF and remote options on a plain metal cabinet - wow! That's a bit of a rarity.

Go get it!

I put it on my watch list but it's 250 miles from me and I don't have room for it in any case.

That's a handsome looking set. Very clean on the inside as well. It's a big plus that the seller tested the crt. Most of the time, it's a crap-shoot of whether or not the crt will be good or not.

I might have to get that ;) . SLO is about 175 miles from me, but I have some other things lined up to do there. May be I'll take the train up there, buy a Diesel Toyota Corolla that a guy has, and stuff the TV in the hatchback and come home with 2 new toys!

Does your wife roll her eyes when you come up with an idea like this, or does she just go with the flow??? :D

Now I see how people come down with a bad, bad case of Roundie Disease.

I finished my first CTC-11 a couple of weeks ago. By pure chance I stumbled across a second last week. Now I see this one, which is cooler than either of them!!

Must not bid . . . must not bid . . . that would just be wrong . . . that would just be wrong :)

Good point. Better learn how to make these crummy tuners work (if possible) before getting any more!

bypass the tuner and have an av input right into the audio and video detector?

I'm thinking, "Where could I put this? On top of the CTC-16X?"

It is about a four-hour drive for me, too.

I'm not there yet. Later this week I will have time to give the tuner some serious attention.

Hey Phil, have you tried cleaning each individual contact with Deoxit and a Q-tip or similar? It takes a while but is worth it, especially on stubborn tuners or remote sets.

It depends... At least I collect affordable stuff. She can't bear to sell a house when she moves, so she still has all but one she's ever lived in from the Gulf Coast to Los Angeles, and only 1 is rented out. As long as that's the case, I guess I'm "allowed" to have extra Toyota Diesels and TV sets here & there. She kept the house in Chatsworth (Los Angeles) she lived in just before we were together, because of a cat she has which she didn't want to bring the cat to the new house due to another male cat already here. So the neighbors made fun of it for the 2 1/2 years it went on. When a new family moved into another house a few doors up, they couldn't believe that a fully furnishe 4-bedroom, 3-bath house with pool & spa, and 3-car garage, complete with cable TV, DSL, phone, and gardener, belonged to an orange cat living there alone... On a serious note, with the economy the way it is now, those will all need to be rented, or bust.

So she has NO room to talk about a few TV sets and $500 cars :thmbsp:
