'63 Zenith K615 higher end AM radio
 

This ebay purchase arrived today - a '63 Zenith K615 AM table radio with tuned RF stage, large ferrite rod antenna, and a 5x7 speaker. This radio receives many AM stations that are hard to get but it will need a new speaker and I'll need to replace any paper caps under the chassis. I really don't get into '60's radios that much; but, I think I'll keep this one. I actually have not seen that many '60's tube AM only radios with a tuned RF stage. By the '60's, tubes were on the way out and most radios were made as cheaply as possible.
