Snagged a Crosley set...

I got this old set off a piano customer of mine. Not sure yet what the model # is, as I have only just obtained this piece. Anyone with ideas as to what model this is, and where I can go to get an escutcheon plate for where it is obviously missing at the channel selector knob...I'm all ears... Many thanks! :thmbsp:

I did try to make the set operate about a year ago on a previous tuning visit, but could not get anything but a hum. So I suspect that a re-cap is essential. First I'll jumper in the basic filters just to see if I can develop HV, and assess the CRT. It's been many years since I've tackled a project like this--and I have several other old sets now to do as well--most of them round monochrome CRT sets--and one rectangular set--the picture tube in that having been manufactured at a plant in nearby Springfield, MA.

Nice find :thmbsp:

Looks like you got a Crosley 307-TA

I think that's an RCA 630TS type clone.

Looks like a 630TS clone, all right. I like the cabinet.

This article has some 630TS restoration notes, as well as factory installation and service manuals.

Fada made a clone just like it too, I wouldn't mind owning any of the models like it. Neat looking set.

About 15 years ago I TRASHED a 630 or 630 clone, 'cause I didn't know what I had...But it was kinda all in pieces anyhow...I'm bent over, commence bootin'...

When I first saw this set I thought it to be an RCA until I had a closer look.

Thanks for the model # info.
