Does anyone know what exactly this unit does? Is it just a tuned RF amp, or does it down-convert UHF to VHF ? If so, on what channel ?

Alrighty then. If no one has any info on this guy, I'll just have to restore it to see what it does :D

The reason I'm curious at all is because we still have at least 6 analog UHF stations broadcasting in Chicago. If this is a down-converter, I should be able to view them on a VHF only set - I think :scratch2:

Apparently, it is a downconverter to channel 5 or 6 :)

Check out his collection - truly impressive. I didn't think anyone collected these.

I was able to get this unit working and discovered about 8 analog UHF stations still broadcasting !
Mainly crap :thumbsdn:, but at least one showing vintage programming.

Who says analog is dead ?
