Kinda silly really. Why not just left the auction in place with a reserve ?

I had a bid on it for $250, which was canceled automatically when he pulled it. The reason he gave was "item no longer for sale". I get soured when those things happen, so I'd be more inclined to pay double whatever I might have bid up to on that one, to someone else. Matter of principle. When I list on eBay, it runs its course, and I just politely answer all the eMails saying so, when they ask me to end early and sell. When you've been collecting TVs for 30+ years as I have, you know there are more fish in the sea, and there's no need to put yourself in a position to be a puppet or for aggravation.
