ctc-10 remote control

Still 4 days left and it's climbing in price already... |
Same as the one on my CTC-11 too. Makes me glad I have mine - I don't think I paid that much for the whole set!

My ctc-10 has the original remote, but I bought a spare thinking I would need parts because one of the buttons was broken in the middle, and there was some corrosion where the original battery was still in it. But I was able to repair the original, so now I have two.

"A tiny screen covers the top porthole that shoots the rays" :yikes:
Does one need a CDRH permit to operate this thing? jr |
No, you just have to be extremely careful to not remove the screen. Let that screen fall off or deteriorate, and you have World War 3 on your hands. :)

Ended at $86. How common are the sets with remote, anyway? I somehow ended up with two CTC-11s and neither has remote control.
Just curious. Phil Nelson |
There seem to be fewer remote RCAs than Zeniths. I've seen a few remote RCAs ctc-10 and up. I've never seen a remote ctc-9, but there was one of those remote ctc-7s on ebay a few years ago. The advertisement for the remote ctc-7 is here on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF2Xp3P6-m0 The remote for the 7 actually controls more than the one on the 10, it looks like the 7 is all push button controls on the set too, the remote ctc-10 just has power tuning.
