1966 Magnavox U920 TV?
1 Attachment(s)
I was just wondering should I save this TV? I saw it today at the curb. If anyone wants it I will go and save it. I think it is a 1966 Magnavox U920 tv. It has the sliding doors in front. I am also in Michigan.

Yes, you should save this 1966 Magnavox U920 TV set. I know a few collectors on this forum who maybe interested-Thanks.

I love that TV if you were near by I would be over to get it in a heart beat.

That looks like the one I saw at an Estate sale near 12mi and Ryan in warren last summer. It was marked at $10. I had tried to get someone else interested in it, but no luck. Hmm, That looks like the same house in the background..

Looks like an estate sale price sticker on the CRT. I hope it gets saved.
I haven't seen a tube set at the curb in years... At least the hard work of moving it outside is done! |
Same tuner controls as my '65 U44 B&W set. I never see many early color Magnavox sets turn up, at least not in combo form.

That set can give a good picture when set up properly. Watch the IF tubes for shorts and the horizontal blanking tube. It can mimic a weak CRT. Dip the Horizontal tube current with the horizontal eff. coil and it'll live a long time!

That was from the estate sale between Dequindre and Ryan off of 12 mile. It might still be there. There also was a 1970 Zenith console TV at the curb too.
