E-Bay seller's text:

You are bidding on a functional early 60's RCA 21FJP22 color picture tube. Tube was a rebuilt replacement long ago as noted by the stickers on the tube after I pulled it from the TV. This CRT produces a nice clear bright tight focused picture but seems like it has many hours on it as it takes a cuople of minutes to come up to full brightness. The laminated faceplate glass is clear,no cataracts. I am selling this because I have 4 tubes already ,including two rebuilt by Scotty ,and to give a chance for someone who needs one to get one. The pictures are exactly what you are bidding on and the functioning images are of this tube before I removed it from the television set . Shipping will be EXPENSIVE ,I will ship anywhere but I must have cleared payment before I ship. To ensure tube arrives without breaking I will need to build a custom crate 25x25x30 , Total weight with packing material will be ~80 lbs. You may also come and pick up the tube in Boston to save all shipping charges. To find your shipping costs , go to the carrier's website and enter the shipping method and weight (80lbs) and the size 25x25x30 inches.I use UPS , FEDEX or USPS. You are bidding on the CRT tube only. Thank you for looking.

I wonder why it was removed from such a nice, working CTC 16? Looks like a good tube though. I'd be all over it if I could go pick it up.

Sounds like it's functional but weak from the description.
I'm guessing it was replaced with a better tube.
I'm also guessing the seller is a member here?

Someone get it!

I just found out that an FJP posted on the ETF classified was thrown in the dumpster! :tears:

It had been posted as a '21JP22', which is probably why no one caught it. I emailed the seller, this was the response:

"At the time the tube was listed about 3 months or so ago I only had 2 or 3 weeks to do something with it or get it sold and did not happen, it got thrown in the dumpster I am sorry to say.
Regards..."

Tragic! :tears: :sigh: :thumbsdn:

Some very good stuff shows up on the ETF classifieds-we should all get in the habit of checking it from time to time. Also, is everyone checking the classifieds here? I'm surprised how little response some things bring.

That's how I got my CTC-7, I was lucky enough to be the first responder. :thmbsp:
