RCA wired remote control

Not bidding, just curious. Anyone happen to know what model RCA this wired remote belongs to?

Hey, Phil.

Yup. I saw that one, also. Looks to be an early 50's application, but I'm just guessing.

Cool. I have seen the term Magic Brain before, but didn't know it referred to this.

Magic Brain goes back to at least the late 30's-I have an 811k with a motorized tuner that makes use of the term. I also had an 8k which boasted a magic brain tuner, but this was more of an AFC function. The same set had magic voice, which was some baffle that sealed the cabinet-throw in a magic eye and all-new metal tubes, and RCA had quite a lot of ad copy for many years-I had no idea they were still riding the magic brain idea into the tv era.

I said it before. I'll say it again.
"Magic Brain" was a gimmick sales term for just about anything from radios, to victrolas, to some televisions.
Just a gimmick sales term. Thats' all....
