"1939 Zenith Radio 7S-363 Cabinet"
OMG!
I have died and have gone to HELL. Please forgive me for posting this abomination. You know where. Item number: 160467422309 |
How could someone have destroyed that radio ?!? :tears: Even the wood frame around the LCD looks like crap. :boxing: :puke:

Who would commit such an atrocity? I guess they couldn't stand the shame of having an AM radio in the living room.

Both of those are beyond ridiculous. Someone needs to archive the pictures of the gas station porthole. Its like a drug induced hallucination.

BTW, this is the first console HDTV flat panel I have ever seen, and I like it. Homemade, yes, but it is one of a kind, for now anyway. Maybe this will give others some ideas on how to make a HD flat-panel TV look good (by building the set into a cabinet), not just a black flat screen sitting on a table. Most FPs, IMO, are about as stylish as today's black-plastic cube CRT sets. |
Oh, I don't mean the framing job itself. I mean that I think the plain brown paint looks bad next to all the very pretty veneer. It think it would look better with a quality wood frame stained or toned to let the grain show through.
It's been done before and good radios have been destroyed in the process. I spoke with a local antique shop owner just the other day about this topic. He said that he a had a regular customer who converted vintage TVs and radios into fishtanks and flat planels like this. Claimed he got $1,000+ plus for them too. He might very well have been talking about this seller. |
Not really HDTV, the aspect ratio is wrong. Should be 16 by 9. And replace that grill cloth!
|
It can't be... I mean, no one would really do that to a Zenith... wait, a gas station...? :wtf:
I'm gonna have nightmares, now. :tears: |
Gah - it sold for $400
