Wow! He finally has some TV's for under $100!

Anyway, nice set and I hope someone can save it.

I wonder if he ever sold that 22" solid state Sylvania B&W from the late '70's?

Who ever tooled up for the Motorola works in a drawer chassis? If I had to shop the set I had to take the whole set. :(

zenithfan1 01-28-2011 12:29 PM

I'm bidding on it, I've wanted one of these for a while now.

50scraze 01-28-2011 05:04 PM

That's a neat set but I absolutely can't stand the style of the cabinet! Give me mid century modern over that "traditional" stuff any day!

zenithfan1 01-29-2011 03:26 PM

I'm only bidding once though, if anyone else wants it, be my guest.

It says that several of the smaller modules are missing. That would be a deal breaker to me unless i had some of these laying around somewhere.

zenithfan1 01-29-2011 08:11 PM

Yeah, I saw that too. I wonder which ones are missing? I wonder if bgadow still has some of those?

bgadow 01-29-2011 10:39 PM

Yep, sure do. I can't vouch for how complete these chassis' are but I'm pretty sure all the boards are there. I might even have a NOS (rebuilt) board tucked away. If someone here wins it, feel free to let me know what you need and I'll see what I can find.

I have the same set, minus the legs.. It's the model that sits flush with the floor, it also doesn't have that cabinet style, which i don't care for.. Got it off CL for $25.. It works but needs repair, unfortunately i don't have the skills to test caps, resistors, transistors, diodes etc. so i can't fix it, nor so far am able to locate someone that would restore it in my area..

Sounds good! Thanks for your help, now I feel better about bidding on it. I'm still not bidding very high though:nono:

Well, I won the damn thing. Now, I gotta figure a way to get it home. My truck is buried under 3 feet of snow.

tvcollector 02-04-2011 10:17 AM

funny how it's the cheapest set he had up, and one of the best.. He's got some 80s sets up even more expensive.. He had a Zenith hybrid up at one time, But I was not going to pay $300 or no where close to that price.. It was on there for quite a long time, i lost track of it.

dumb question but with the WID I assume its all SS?

zenithfan1 02-07-2011 07:42 AM

Yeah, if it has a tube it's the HV rectifier.

Does anyone want this for free? I paid for it but I'll be damned if I'm going down there to get it with my truck. It's buried. It just isn't worth the trouble to me, if it were a roundie it would be different. Anyone interested can shoot me a PM and I'll give you the info and just go pick it up......for FREE!
