Tower "Little Spitfire" horn speaker
 

After many years of wanting a '20's horn speaker, I finally bought this Tower "Little Spitfire" model. Right now, I have it sitting next to my Clapp-Eastham HR/HZ radio from the early '20's. I could also use this speaker with the two mid '20's 3-dialer battery radios that I own. One day, I hope to find two other horn speakers for the other two sets that I own. That way, I won't have to shift this one speaker around to the different radios.

I found a Little Spitfire horn only, no base, a few years ago and made up a driver for it as shown, sort of faintly reminiscent of Magnavox, using a small PM speaker and some plumbing fittings, on an oak base. There's an output transformer in the base also so it connects up just like a high-ohm speaker. Here it is with my 1924 Radiola III and reproduction radio battery. I really like that C/E radio!
