Acquired an "All Australian 5ive" tube radio

AWA Radiola model B15, was a popular model in the early 60's there.

It has a power transformer (which is quite happy with 60Hz fed by an American pair of 120V lines 180 degrees out of phase, to make 240VAC), and a pretty good audio amp. Uses a 6BE6, 6BA6, 6AV6, 6forgot but it's a 7 pin tube for the audio out, and 6X4. Quite similar to an All American 5ive radio, though safer. And it had Australian made wax caps. which like their American cousins, needed to be replaced. Oh, that made a big improvement in performance.

I don't suppose the output is a 6BF5? Not identical ratings to 50B5, but awfully close.

No, just AM MW (540-1600KHz). The multiple "bands" are just listings of radio stations in their various states. Aussie radios were almost always "stationized" like the old Packard Bell tube radios for the USA west coast. The 3rd knob is for tone.

I took the back off the set, and it's a 6AQ5.
