Hey, those sets look familiar. I saw them earlier today on the Willowbrook, IL craigslist. They and many other radios and TVs will be at the ARCI radiofest in a few days :)

That Stewart Warner Mirror in Lid is a very neat little set, I think it's overpriced since it's missing the correct knobs and plate, those are pretty much unobtainable.
I've been trying to find a channel selector knob for years.

I could really go for that Philco myself! My favorite era. Lots of nice sets he has for sale.

Ditto on the Philco. Look at all those speakers!

The 4 smaller cones along the bottom are passive resonators. No magnetic drivers on them.

Someone musta nabbed the Philco.

Philco is comming to my house. This appears to be the same chassis as the 48-1000 uses. I have never seen the little control door on the front of the set before.

The seller is Jim Menning, out of Appleton. I have done business with him before, and been to his home. He is an avid collector and trader of this sort of stuff. He will be at Willowbrook, IL Radiofest this comming weekend.

I will be attending Radiofest on Saturday. Anybody else going???

You're going to miss the really good stuff if you don't come to the Thursday auction and the Friday start of the swap meet. Of course the prices will be cheaper Saturday, for whatever is leftover. Going to be hot again, and perhaps some rain.

Yes, I'll definitely be going Friday. Not sure about Thursday or Saturday. I sure hope it doesn't rain

That was a Brain Fart. I am going on Friday not Saturday. Sheesh, I hate getting old.

I hope the forcast changes for the better because presently they are forcasting 40% chance of rain on Friday.
