Could Be A Score For You Chicago Residence

I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum but thought I would put it here and let a mod move it if it didn't belong.

...I meant Residents in the title btw.

This would certainly be worth taking a look at if you are in the area. The owner must have worked for Zenith. The first floor has two Zenith round color sets in nice condition. The basement if full of Zenith radios, TVs, and parts, including two round color CRTs, a round B&W chassis (Admiral with power supply chassis?), many of those good quality Zenith AM/FM radios.

Everything I bought was very reasonable, they were asking $65 for the Zenith roundie. if you can't go during the sale dates, try to contact the owners, and they may make a time for you to see the stuff privately.

Admiral?

Since the cat's out of the bag already...

Came home with the Admiral chassis, 3 21FBP22 tubes (1 NIB, the others were used pulls with yokes still on them), both Zenith roundie sets (paid for, will collect tomorrow), 2 regulated DC supplies, a B&K CRT tester, Olson VTVM, RCA Voltohmyst, another lone Zenith roundie chassis, and there's still more to take home tomorrow. Bob G is gonna help me haul some stuff, and hopefully end up with some sets himself. There's still a Chromacolor II set in the bedroom, a pair of Transoceanic radios tons of square sets, a pair of Zenith Alegro 3000 speakers (bottoms are rotted, but drivers look new), Suffice it to say, this was a muther load! Here's what I saw in the pics below.

Very nice! I especially like that CRT with the metal mount still on it. If I was anywhere near Chicago/Wisconsin still, I would be trying to make a deal with you for it... I am hoping to one day make a reversible installation of a glass CRT in my Muntz 721CV (unless I actually find a good 21AXP22), and I figure I will need something like that.

You can have the metal stuff if you want it, I have no use for it. IMO, the hardware for a CTC-7 makes more sense though. It's got that metal support ring with arms, so you can bolt it in where you need.

If you look at that picture in post #4 of all table sets, the 2nd set from the right is one of my all time favorites, definitely worth someone picking up. A 1966 Zenith (14M27 chassis) 19" b/w in the steel cabinet with an auto-shutoff control, dual speakers, and probably power tuning and the sc300 remote. Now that I'm way down here in Memphis, too far a drive for me (which is probably a good thing - I already moved down here with 26 tvs and 23 radios)

Wow what a great year for "roundie" scores! Especially love the Zenith roundie TV's and the NOS crt. Hope they are all good :) It's always nice to have extra Round color CRT's!

I hope someone snags that Zenith table radio, that looks to be one of the AM/FM ones with twin Electrostatic tweeters, if i want in Youngstown i would go for some of that stuff.

OK, maybe I should get a look at a CTC-7 setup before I do anything. The project is not likely to happen for a while in any case. Thanks.

Damn! I wish I could have helped you out! That WAS a haul! Too bad a guy at work had already bought me a ticket to Rock the Ranch or I'd have been down there, I just couldn't get out of it. I'd like to buy that Zenith you sent a pic of, IF she's still available..
