Nice set.

The later AM FM Zeniths were good preformers, and reliable too. Most will still work as found.

I agree 100 percent. My Zenith C845 (the radio in my avatar) and K731 have worked very well from the day they arrived here (the 731 was an eBay score and the 845 was given to me by an AK/VK member, both about three years ago). No recapping or other work required, and they still sound great -- typical of Zenith radios from the 1950s and '60s.

BTW, the X323 was also used as a prop in several episodes of the '60s TV series Bewitched. The radio appears on top of the headboard in the bedroom.

yes zenith seems to make great products

So jeffs wud you have any idea how I would go about selling this piece? I've posted it here and I am thinking about craigslist....it is in great shape & I will take the best offer even if its only 30.00...but i'm hoping for more. I really have no idea what the value is:thmbsp:

Yes, these are excellent radios; but, are still very common. I'd say $30 would be pushing the limit as far as what one of these would bring. BTW, yours is a '67 model ("X" line). Zenith was one of the last American companies to build a consumer tube radio. Their last one was a plastic cased AM/FM set from '69 ("Z" line).

I own/owned at least 8 50's/60's Zeniths and none have needed any work.

I've bought similar sets for as little as 10$ at meets there survival rate makes them common enough to be very affordable.
