Radiola 100 speaker cone.
Anyone know of a supplier of replacemant cones for a Radiola 100 speaker? Been all over the web and can't find anything. The last one I replaced was over 20 years ago and don't have the foggiest idea where I got it. Thank's in advance. Dan.

Dan,
I have a Radiola 100A speaker in good condition, metal box painted silver with nice cloth. I won it at an auction along with an Atwater Kent model 30 that really needs an AK E2 speaker. If you know where I could get a E2, PM me and I will sell it to you. I am also looking for plain old paper speaker cones and coming up with nothing useful. There are some very good threads about using common materials to rebuild these old speakers. This one covers it well.... http://www.radiomuseum.org/forum/gru...rtschrank.html Dave |
what about Hank Brazeal (if I am spelling it right). He used to recone speakers and I got his info from antique electronic supply catalog. I lost his info but he reconed a Zenith speaker for me and did a great job. I worked on an early radio that had a 24" exposed cone speaker and Hank had a friend who made cones for them. The last time I needed a cone I called antique electronic supply and they gave me Hank's phone number. Hopefully he is still in business

There is (was?) an outfit, I think husband and wife, who did those exposed decorated paper cones but can't for the life of me think who it was.
Edit: think it's these people. They post an email address. http://www.angelfire.com/pa/conespeaker/ |
