Heads Up. There is a Dumont Roundy Combo on Ebay, don't see those
very often.

There is also operating instructions for that set by another seller. At least for that same year.

It's a big'n. I think there was a similar color Du Mont in the 2010 ETF auction but I can't remember if it was also a combo.

Mark has a Muntz combo that looks something like that, I think.

Looks like it's been in partially submerged from the stains on the grille cloth...

There was. I bought it and then re-sold it at the ETF meet after the auction ended(long story). It was a TV only model in a nice cabinet if I recall properly.

I think it sorta looks like this DuMont. I picked this up a few years ago for $50. Haven't gotten around to restoring it yet...but will soon. The cabinet is in pristine condition and it has a really nice Garrard turntable and a decent size SS amp. Bob

That's a non-UHF model, so chances are, it's a genuine RCA CTC15. I'm surprised that it has a solid state amplifier that early. All the Dumonts were Emerson-built at the time.

Yep....i saw that one a few days ago. Would love to have it, but yet again it is 2000 miles away......:sigh::sigh:

I'm thinking about bidding on it......can anyone recommend a way to ship it from Alabama to Arizona? Any idea how much it would run? I've got no experience at all trying to ship something that size, and any comments (or even comments that I'm crazy :scratch2:) are welcome.

I have used uShip one time and been very satisfied. ( http://www.uship.com ) As they are all independent members I would guess there are some better than others but you can view their feedback profiles to help make a decision. There are two ways to book, fixed price and bidding. In the first, you post the details of your shipment (item type, size, weight, method such as blanket wrap) and name your price and the first person to accept your shipment at your price gets it. Start low and raise it if needed. The site will show you a range of what similar shipments have cost in the past. Payment is handled through uShip. In the second, you place the details of your shipment on the site and people bid for it. There is an additional fee with the bidding scenario. I went the first route. The truckers combine loads from multiple shippers along the way so you pay only a portion of their actual costs. I'd use their service again.

the problem I see is the unknown factor, that's a big shipping expense, not knowing the status of at least the CRT.

I used uShip two years ago for a 200 pound Sony HD CRT set and was very happy. I used the bid system. The driver was a bit flakey on the pickup dates and times but came through. And he helped me lift it from his enclosed trailer to my house in the rain.

I do have one, but it's more of a french provincial in maple. I can't wait to get my living situation fixed so I can get started on some sets. Beginning with the Wingate.....
