what model is this emerson tv?
 

Hello,

I was browsing around ebay and came across this really nice looking emerson tv

and I would have just loved to buy it but I live too far away from NC to pick it up but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what model number the tv is and what year it was made in so I can search out one of these TV's closer to me to buy as I have been just drooling over it for days :-p it may not be a really valuable tv but for some reason it's stying really caught my attention, especially the dark wood tones and the gold accents and the really cool whiteish bezel around the pic tube...

I tried to find someone in NC who would be willing to pick it up for me so I could arrange shipping of it to me here in MN but with a day left it's too late...

anyway any help in IDing this tv would be greatly appreciated,

I would suggest you e-mail the seller and ask him for the model #. There is an "ask seller a question" area on the item page. I notice the back is present, the seller can check it or the chassis for a model #. It has a rectangular picture tube which would make it 1951 or later.

I live 3 hours from Charlotte. Wish I was a little closer I could go get the thing and try to fix that nasty cabinet. I figure somebodys gonna get that thing for a couple of bucks. I hope it finds a good home. Even today these things make it to the landfill more than most people would think. Thats where this one was headed to. To beat up for me to travel for. If it was a round tube, maybe.

I did that and he said that the sticker is missing and there are no other labels on the TV and so he doesn't know the model number, that's why I thought I'd try and ask here to see if anyone possibly recognized it...

No, but a pair of 3AU6's can sub for a pair of 6AU6's if you rewire the heaters.
