Election night on vintage Admiral TV
1 Attachment(s)
Another major event on a vintage TV set, my Admiral 24R12 B&W set http://www.videokarma.org/attachment...1&d=1352256729
The sound is buzzing a lot, because of all the heavy use of white graphics in the video. I remember the 1960 election night on a similar Admiral set. |
The Admiral on my workbench.

Looks great! I was gonna bust out my CTC-38 on the wheeled stand, but I got lazy ;)
|
A blurry snap of what I actually watched much of the time -- a Predicta sitting on a CTC-11.

The people have spoken.
God Bless America! BTW, I miss being able to go into a store and seeing American-made TV's for sale! |
Did the Remington-Rand Computer pick the Winner?
|
My Emerson 699 is next to my computer desk, so that's what I had on for most of the night b/c I was following social media very closely.
But I did later go upstairs where I watched the concession and then the victory speech most appropriately--on my American Television. http://www.tv4rv.com/waving-flag.gif |

We now rejoin the following program already in progress at this time. Q: Is this NOT the most generic statement one can hear from a TV network? Cliff |
I watched it on one of those cheap little Chinese last gasp 5" B&W's, mainly because my shop looks like a tornado hit it and that little TV was, due to it's size, the easiest to set up on my overcrowded work bench.
