WMAQ-TV postcard
1 Attachment(s)
NBC Peacock, and "world's first all-color TV station"
Note, the call letters were originally WNBQ-TV, until until August 31, 1964. That helps to date this card. Also, the 4 cent postage for postcards was valid January 7, 1963 - January 7, 1968 |
Cool. :smoke:

Strange that KNBH/KNBC didn't go all color when 3000 West Alameda Ave in Burbank opened. But, IIRC, didn't they stay at Hollywood & Vine until 1960? And, the Washington Color Plant was still originating local live B&W on WRC-TV as late as 1962/1963 as I used to catch the last couple of minutes of "Bozo" (with Willard Scott) before Mickey Mouse Club re-runs aired. (Yes, I was watching because of Annette!)
