Parts Vendor

Hello all,

I can across a site called MCM Electronics which has very good prices. With internet scams around, I want to be sure that they are legit before I send them bankcard information. Have any of you used them before?

They are OK. I bought a remote from them for an obscure TV. Shipping was fast

They are legitimate.

I have happily dealt with them for over 30 years.

MCM has been around for a long time. They are quite reputable.

Somewhere around here I have a catalog from the early days of MCM - all two pages of it, and all transistors and ICs. Did you know the MCM stood for the first initial of the three guys that started the company? One of them left and started Consolidated Electronics (CEI) a few years later, right down the street from MCM selling the same stuff.

Cheers,

Me, too. Had an account with MCM for many years. Usually got same-day shipping from them, which moved some TV's out of my shop really fast!

I had an account with them back in the early 80's It was my go to place for VCR parts They sold belt kits and replacement heads For nearly any VCR made Back then They had a massive selection of drive belts I swear they would fit anything. also sold a lot of antenna boosters and amplifiers made by their house brand Tenma. And all the prices were extremely reasonable.
