GE 1957 3D color camera

Obviously field-sequential (only big enough for a single pickup tube) and apparently based on a CBS field sequential image orthicon camera

Thanks for posting this, Wayne.

Here is a 1945 RCA camera that was adapted for 3D:

I remember Sony demonstrating for the news, a 3D system that made a regular tv picture appear 3d.... They demo 'd a dog chasing a Frisbee on one of their 19" or 21" Trinatron's - we had to rely on the account of the reporter, but they said it really appeared to be 3d, no glasses. At the time they said it would be more than 5 years before we would see it on stores..... I guess it just never happened..... Kinda like today's 3d, I read sales and production of 3d material is slumping off....

The thing that amazes me is two cameras in that shot. Any idea where it was taken?

I don't even remember where I found the photos.

But at least you have saved pictures, sets etc. and shared them with us. Funny how "at the time", items, photos, documents don't seem to have much value. Then fast forward 50 -75 years and then we really miss them. We realize that so much of our hobby was just chucked into the bin.

Glad that you have them!

Thanks.
