Hi, guys....if anyone has a scanned copy of Sam's 288-2, I'm needing one for this Capehart set I am picking up in a few weeks....

The model tag on the back reads "Capehart Farnsworth Company", but the set's model # is listed as "Capehart Dumont"

Attachment 182153

Does anyone know if this is a Dumont chassis? It is a 1955 model year.

Nope, looks like your standard Capehart chassis to me. Pretty straightforward design, should be a fun restore!

I may have an original copy if I can find it. I'll take a look. I either had that or some old sales literature/user manual or something, but I fear that it is for a round tube set. Maybe the same chassis if it is indeed the schematic that I have.

Thanks much, Greg...no hurry as it will be a couple of weeks before I get the set....just want to get a cap order started, and check out the details....

Also to Tom Albrecht, Who also scanned and sent the scans to Steve before me.

My grandparents had one just like that in their garage when I was a kid. My grandpa would watch it while he was tinkering with stuff in there.
