Tube Question

I need to buy a new 3A3 tube but am seeing 3A3A, 3A3B and 3A3C tubes. Does it really matter which one is installed? Are these all the same electronically? Thanks.

All the suffix letters are an improved version of the former letter. I would go with the latest version.

One caveat IIRC the RCA CTC-16 chassis had the top cap for the HV rect built into the top of the flyback and there were physically shorter versions of the tube made than the OEM that when installed would cause flyback arcing/destruction. The exact tube type should not be much of an issue (the differences would likely not be noticable) with other chassis and makes though.
