How's it going members?
I have been a member of antiqueradios.com since 2010 and thought i would checkout videokarma I have been repairing electronics since aprox 1970 and went pro in 1980. i have many vintage service manuals for canadian tv to offer the site. no prob to scan for those who need that. over the years of repairing,i have amased a fair bit of vintage electronics as a byproduct. i guess you could call me an accidental collector-ha! caretaker of a farnsworth 651p and a ctc 5 rca color among other units. looking forward to assisting with whatever i can to keep vintage gear operational! have a good one, Ronl |
Alright ! ! ! It's about time we got a real "pro" here ! ! !

Well...been checking out videokarma for a bit now-i like what i see!-great that 70's and later tech here is considered collectable-cool!
my wife pointed out to me that a lot of our gear used every day is what this forum likes-ha! i like the repairablity of the older tech-a lot easier to fix once in a blue moon and keep operational.(mostly just recaping and touching up soldering over the years). ill have to post some of my 70s collectable gear sometime(didnt think anybody liked that tech yet)-most of my 50s and older gear are not "daily drivers" but the 70s and newer tech keeps going everyday! cheers RonL |
Welcome
Welcome!
and a hearty "Hats off" to your wife for not wanting "new stuff" with a short service life. We speak both tubes and transistors here but I shy away from anything "integrated" |
And, a hearty welcome to Video Karma... Glad to have you with us.........
