Satellite Signal vs. Antenna Signal

Is it just me or what but on my Old RCA Console Tv it seems that the broadcast and coloring is sharper and better than when I use my Digital to Analog Converter Box for over the Air Signals? To me the satellite broadcast is more like the TV use to be when we hooked the antenna wire to the TV directly before digital broadcasting. :scratch2:

Could be an RF modulator difference. I have a DVD recorder that always has poor contrast and saturation when it's RF is connected to my tube color TVs, but if I take the video out of that SAME DVD recorder and feed it into the video in of my JVC SVHS deck and use the JVC's RF modulator there is substantially more contrast and color saturation.
