Wanting RCA CRT

I am looking for a good CRT that will go into my 1983 RCA Console TV. It is an 8 pin CRT Socket Style. The Focus pin is located on the bottom of the CRT Socket. :scratch2:

Without a MODEL number, or CHASSIS number, this thread is useless......

Please folks, years mean nothing to service literature and technicians. You've gotta give up the model number or chassis to get anywhere. I've spouted this so many times, yet no one seems to care.

If you want answers, you've gotta give us some meat - and put it in the thread!! We shouldn't have to look at other threads, shouldn't have to read minds.

1983 RCA color - funny, Sams want's a model or chassis number. Funny too how my RCA service literature index also wants a chassis or model number.

Get it??

There is a tag on the CRT with the number.
When you post that someone may be able to give
a list of subs.
When you change it the yoke is glued on. If it has removable
magnets on the neck keep them ON also, dont swap them.
That way you dont have to reset the convergence & purity.
Only need to do grey scale, focus & G-2 adjustments.
Tube swap is easy, if it dont have a degauss shield can whip
one in in 10 mins.
And yes always post the model & chassis in the opening
of a new thread:banana:

This habit of starting multiple threads for the same TV is getting old. Look at the threads from bandersen and others - sometimes 2-3 years worth of posts and stuff - one TV, one thread!

CRT sub guide for 25" CRTs attached.

Those are two incredibly useful pages you posted!...I've saved them for reference.

Kinda funny how you keep informing that guy about the info needed from him for us to help, and he never seems to learn...

I guess I don't get it either - you come here, ask for help, and then trash those that want TO HELP YOU. 7 years on AK/VK, and it's the first time I've ever been insulted by anyone. As you can see, I do have many resources, but I'll surely be slow in helping in the future. I guess the two others that were helped get it...

Do you want help? If so, ask, but ask with information so that we (yes, we) can help you. Hundreds of years of experience, hundreds of talented people, but if you insult others, refuse to answer probing questions, well, you'll find yourself on the ignore list - and thanks to the two VK'ers who let me know of the feature - I guess you are already on their ignore lists..
