All roundies except the lower left 25-inch set and the upper right one, likely a 19-inch "portable" set.

This is in another thread and I still don't think that the 19" looks right for 1966, but I think someone had an explanation when I said it before. The thing looks like something from the 80s!

I do want to ad that I don't know what had to change, or why in not that great of a length of time ago in advertisement, or more simply; the way things looked in general. Everything looked fun, happy and interesting. This has been on a linear decline ever since those days I think. Of course I am one of the oddballs in this world that is and always has been attracted to things of the past and I must understand that I am more than likely a minority in these thoughts. If I were not then things would still look fun, happy and interesting.

It wouldn't be hard at all to duplicate the techniques used in vintage ads, or for that matter in the products themselves even if they still had to be made of cheap plastic in China. I used to wonder how much money G.M. could make if they just started stamping out 1957 Chevys again. Not some 'retro' version priced for the elite, but the real thing with some modern improvements. Just the same everyday car that it really was until it was deemed the design to end all designs. Even a rust bucket is now worth some ridiculous price, which is now happening to other common cars of the past like Ford Galaxies. I'll stop there before I go further off topic..... :)

I have a Sears roundie combo a lot like one of those--but it has a door type cabinet...tube checks quite good.

I remember when people dressed up like that all the time... Not so much down here in Bugtussle in the summer, 'cause it was SWELTERING, but during the colder months.. Mama & her friends were "Daring", they'd wear "Pedal Pushers"- Knee-length pants/slacks to the store in the summer... I remember all the Ballyhoorah when the women started to wear pantsuits to Church in the Seventies... They were GOING TO HELL for sure.. Last time I went to church, I think I saw maybe a couple of skirts, NO dresses, the women were virtually ALL in pantsuits.. MAYBE a couple of the tiny little girls were in dresses, but that was it.. Things have REALLY changed.

No way I plan to stay here.
north of ocala is not too bad and you can find hills (small), south of ocala is a zoo. Eastern Tenn is looking good.
