The pic is from the early '50's, but at first glance it looks like the '20's/'30's! In a PC Richards in Carle Place, LI, they had mint '49 RCA TV on it's stand when you walked in to celebrate their anniversary. I wanted it!

Our family had one of those "tub" style washing machines way back in the day. I think water was added, as I don't recall any hoses attached. As there was no spin cycle, the clothes etc were then inserted into a double roller-pin style wringer, which removed the excess water. Kind of primitive, but it beat the old "washboard" method (or beating the clothes on a rock, LOL). Nice display of tvs and radios.

A few weeks back, one of the newer movie channels, ran a movie titled "Avalon". I remember seeing it several years ago.
The timeline of the movie was the early-to-mid 50's. It was an appliance store, started by Russian immigrants, in New Jersey.
It showed 7" bakelite Admirals and other electronic items, that really weren't current models. Also, a lot of the other products that seemed dated, for the time. I missed most of it, as I was channel scanning.
I remember seeing the tape at a thrift, but couldn't recall the content.
If I see another one, I'll definitely buy it, to identify all the old sets. :thmbsp:
