And now, a 24" Crosley....
1 Attachment(s)
Braving the house of a bachelor hoarder of all things Crosley, without concern for the SHARP aroma of two very noisy and slobbery mastiffs nor the presence of animal hair be it canine, feline, rodent, or (I dunno, maybe a warthog or something, P. freaking U. ), I emerged (kinda literally) with this Crosley F24COLU from 1954, sporting a 24" screen
The guy said he bought it in working condition, but never plugged it in because he appreciates his Crosleys for their aesthetics, and doesn't care if they work. I swore I heard this set scream "OH THANK YOU!! THANK YOUUUU!!! TWENTY FIVE YEARS IN THAT GODFORSAKEN HOUSE!!!" What the hell, it was $20. Cheap entertainment :) |
Hey Tim, what's new?
You've been finding some nice sets lately. When I read this post, I wasn't signed in yet, so I didn't see the photo--I was expecting a much rougher looking cabinet. It's actually in nice shape, huh? And a 24" screen b/w is incentive enough to get it running (for me anyway). I have always been after a large screen b/w set like one of those DuMonts with the 30incher. (yikes!) Good luck with her |

Very nice, Tim. :)

Super looking set for sure!!!! I'm still kicking myself for tossing our 27" Sentinel (1U4623) complete with clock in working condition 40 years ago... BUT, I had color...so....
