Mid 70's Zennith turntable
 

I need the service manual for a Zenith 169-363 turntable. I also need the AC switch. If anybody has one please let me know. A scan of the manual would be ok. It looks like a VM design from the mid 60's as far as the changing mechanism. I have Sams 797 which is a similar changer dated '2-66 which is close. The turntable came from a mid 70's console stereo. My co-worker wants it repaired. I know it will need the AC switch and a new idler. The one in it is hard as a rock. It will likely need a new needle, and I do not know yet about the cartridge. If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

There is at least one VM specialist that buys & sells VM parts.
Dont remember his name so google it. Idler & switch are
easy. Cartridge may be more of a challenge, dont loose the
little spring in the needle shaft if it has a T shaped needle.

About two weeks ago I probably could have given you the switch. I had two 70's Zenith changers (don't know the ID # on them) one that was a component table and one parted out of a console. I gave them to a friend to get them out of my way....

Ordered the parts today. It looks like vm used the same basic changer design from the mid 50s to the mid 70s. Sams 797 from 1966 shows the exact changer as this one from 1974. Difference is very minor.

Parts came in for the changer yesterday. I replaced the switch and idler, then a complete cleaning and lubrication. The changer mech was frozen solid. The cartridge and lp needle are ok. Since she will not be playing any 78s that needle is not important at this time. It will eventually be replaced though. Right now it will be going back in the console. It is running fine and the changer is working smoothly. The changer is from a mid 70's console, but the date on the motor was 1969.
